Family Activities in the Sea in Moray & Aberdeenshire

My 15yr old son and I, had the best time this afternoon, out coasteering with Adam.

Once kitted up we received a comprehensive safety talk which set us up and we were on our way.

Two hours of swimming, climbing, jumping, exploring, at times, pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones, but always knowing there was absolutely no pressure to do anything you didn't feel comfortable doing.

We had the luxury of being out just the two of us, with Adam, for some Mother and son bonding time.

I thoroughly recommend this experience, as does my son who absolutely loved every minute of it.

The whole set up is very professional whilst still maintaining a friendly vibe.

Photos and videos were taken here and there, with our permission which was completely unobtrusive and which left us with some lasting pictoral memories too, which is always nice to keep.

We had a family SUP lesson in Portnockie harbour. Our family group was mixed ability and ages (from 10 to 65) which our instructor Adam managed very well. He and his young assistant were observant of the younger ones who at first weren't managing so well. Adam covered a lot in the two hour session and by the end everyone was confident and enjoying themselves. We would certainly go back for more!.

First time paddle boarding for all 4 of us. We were up in Cullen for a few days so decided to book a lesson. We really enjoyed it. Finn was our instructor and was really helpful, explained everything well and went at a great pace. There were a range of ages and everyone enjoyed it. There was lots of falling in and hilarity. We would definitely give paddle boarding a go again.

I was gifted a surf lesson for father's day. We arrived at cullen and was met by our instructor Toby. Very chill, friendly and down to earth. Clearly loves his job as he is a great teacher and when you managed to catch a wave or not I felt he genuinely shared your excitement. He was fantastic with the adults and kids. And made the whole experience 100% better.

The kit and equipment were great and in great condition. Honestly not a bad thing to say about this experience. The whole family walked away and want to take up surfing as a full time hobby.If anyone is thinking of something to do one afternoon or even a unique gift then I would highly recommend blue Coast!

Fabulous coasteering trip - excellent relaxed and professional adventure. Adam ensured our whole diverse group challenged and enjoyed themselves from aged 22-61, Adrenaline seekers to first time rock jumper. Fab time

Such a fun experience! A beautiful location to try surfing and Adam was great at looking out for my two kids and making it fun for everyone. We can’t wait to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our group lesson on paddle boards at Port Knockie harbour. Keir was an excellent instructor giving us all the basics with patience and fun. We were so lucky with the weather. Some of us were worried about being cold but the high quality wet suits, gloves and boots kept us warm.

If you wear glasses remember to bring a head strap to keep them on. You will fall in and if you don’t, you’ll have to get in to practice “saving” each other.In summary, a fabulous fun and safe experience.

Our older two daughters had tried paddle boarding before and had a great time. Now it was time for the whole family to give it go. We had a good time and Adam was a super instructor. He was really patient and encouraging and helped us all feel comfortable on a board. It was a fun afternoon activity.

Brilliant experience , instructors were really friendly and knowledgeable. Learned loads and had great fun too. The beach at Cullen is beautiful and we had good waves . Highly recommend

My Grandson and family did coasteering for his birthday and had an amazing experience led by Adam who was very professional and gave them an exciting fun filled 2hrs scaling the rocks off Portknockie and Jumping into the sea, the whole family loved it and I would highly recommend this fun filled activity for family fun days. It was a cracking tour if you love a good adventure and paddle boarding we loved as a family!!

We spent a great 2 hours exploring the tidal zone with Adam our instructor, we all loved it and the kids (11 & 13) were definitely on a high during and after the adventure. It was well organised and Adam was very helpful and responsive when we were organising the coasteering session. Everything felt well planned and safe but at the same time adventurous and challenging. Great venue, plenty wildlife and points of interest

Brilliant first surf lesson for my 5 year old. As far as I've seen most providers have a minimum age of 8 for surf lessons, however Blue Coast are happy for any age to attend. Being under 8 a parent had to be in the water too but this was great fun. Keir was brilliant with all the students of varying ages. Great quality wetsuits. We will definitely be back for more lessons!

Great instructors, great fun had by all… kids mastered standing up quickly… definitely recommend and will go again. Booked coasteering too and enjoyed scrambling, swimming and jumping in to the water. You’ll have a great day with the team!!

We booked a two hour SUP lesson. Two adults and four kids aged 8 to 11. I was really apprehensive but Adam soon put us all at ease and was incredibly calm and patient. My wee boy has autism struggles to process information and tries to do his own thing. All my concerns melted away after a short time and soon realised that I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard. Brilliant experience and a fantastic afternoon for all.
