We went as a group for an Introduction to Paddleboarding. Adam was just amazing. He is so knowledgeable and patient. As well as group instruction, we all got some individual attention. It has given us skills and confidence to practice on our own before heading back to Blue Coast to do a paddleboard tour or two!
Amazing introductory course to paddleboarding. Adam the instructor & owner made our first time on paddleboards fun and 2 hours went really quickly. Using Portknockie harbour to learn made it easier as it was calmer water, although you know you are in the sea but safe. Adam's relaxed manner helped ease our nerves and progress from kneeling to stand up paddleboarding, there was a few times we were in the water, we definitely would recommend giving this ago.Adam is experienced and patient which is just what you want from an instructor. We would definitely book another session with him.
I recent went on their Surfari day trip and it was extremely good fun. It was my first time using Blue Coast and they made me feel super welcome. We had instructors who really know the local area and that are very knowledgeable in the technical side of surfing too. The day was full of laughs, learning and some really fun surf. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their surfing and will be looking out for the next one that comes up!

Paddling boarding for first time at Portknockie - we’ve been surfing with Adam several times before, my teenage son wanted to introduce his girlfriend to paddle boarding so we knew a Blue Coast Cullen activity would be good. Small group & again excellent tuition & attention to detail and making us feel really safe & comfortable by Adam. Great learning experience, covered so much in the afternoon & I was really pleased to manage to get standing on the board & moving around!! All the kit - wetsuits & boards really good quality. Great for some transferable skills for surfing next time - thanks so much to Adam for another great experience 😆
Adam was a great teacher and definitely knew what he was doing! He was super nice and helpful and I felt that I learned a lot from just this one lesson. Definitely have to come back and do this again!
Had surfing lessons with blue coast surf & paddle and they were amazing! Highly recommend them to any one of any ability. Adam and his team are very freindly and knowledgable.

Great paddleboard lesson with Adam. We are now more confident in using our own paddleboard - gave us instruction on propulsion and maneuvering - learned a lot. Perfect location, really enjoyed the session. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to try paddleboarding or simply looking to improve their technique.
Over a weekend in May '24, my family and I attended a Surf and a Coasteering lesson with Blue Coast. My husband and I had already had surf and SUP lessons with Adam, but this was our kids' (8 & 10) first lesson.
Adam and EmmieJo were our instructors for both lessons and they were great. Adam explained things really well, the kids really liked him and EmmieJo who supported them in the water. They both loved the surfing and the fact they managed to stand and 'surf'.
We were all new to Coasteering and we really enjoyed it. Adam led us around the coastline at Portknockie and we explored the caves and really enjoyed jumping into the water. It was clear Adam had planned our routine to make sure the kids got their best experience at their ability level.
Thank you Adam and EmmieJo for a great weekend, the kids absolutely loved the activities. I'm sure you'll be seeing us all again over the summer.I'd highly recommend Blue Coast Surf & Paddle for anyone interested in water sports.
Had an amazing time paddle boarding at Cullen. Adam was a great teacher and spent time with each of us to help us improve our skills. I was a bit nervous about falling off and having to get back on but Adam taught us how to self rescue and after that it was easy. No problems falling in after that! Would recommend to anyone wanting to try something new or to brush up on some skills before solo paddle boarding.
Having no experience of paddle boarding and being in my 50’s I was a bit anxious about how the lesson would go. I needn’t have worried because Adam immediately made me feel at ease and informed me id be standing on the paddle within the hour - this turned out to be true. I went with my 15 year old son who thoroughly enjoyed the lesson too - especially the times he tried to push me in! The equipment provided was perfect and of very high quality. The lesson group was small which was less intimidating. We found the whole experience fun, worthwhile and definitely value for money.
